Description
I’m open to reasonable offers until next weekend, after that I’ve got access to free storage over winter so I’ll put the car away till March.
I will leave the current add running but would need a bit of notice now for a viewing. So then; The car is back from the body shop …. I decided to go all in, but well worth it. It's had two NEW front wings as well as the bonnet bumper and wing mirrors blended in..!!. The car has also been fully machine polished. New centre caps and a new rear number plate has been fitted. Naturally what with the exceptional mechanical history, top spec, low mileage and ownership AND the major paintwork addressed the advertised price now reflects this. Also; although it has an amazing MOT history…not the depressingly long list of advisories that you usually find…there was one for a small nick in a rear tyre wall…to be honest I needed a magnifying glass to find it because it was that small, but fair enough it’s there, the tester was zealous to say the least…but this actually confirms how sound the car is in all other regards as he found NOTHING else and the body shop guys have remarked on how clean the car is both internally and underneath…. no doubt because it was always covered or garaged. But this was an advisory and the tyres are all showing really good tread. It’s simply a room issue that pushes the sale. But if you follow Scottish Car Clan on Y-Tube he gives a great insight into why older less complicated cars are now in high demand…and this sites % rate increase for this model confirms this.

It's hard to convey just how incredibly amazing the mechanical history is on this car…literally everything that has been needed over the years has been done…previous very wealthy owners used it solely as a second car and had it serviced by Ford main dealers at every conceivable opportunity.... very unusual to find with this degree of maintenance. The service history and works completed are as follows:
24 services in total from the Ford main agent [consisting of regular oil changes and all the various filters] until approximately 40k then most recently an independent.
Serviced at intervals which were apprx:
2k 5k 6k 8k 10k 12k 14k 16k 18k 19k 21k 23k 25k 27k 29k 31k 34k 36k 39k 40k 41k.

At 41630 it had a brake fluid change/ thermostat and thermostat housing costing £684.
At 42070 it had a new in-tank fuel pump and a rear window regulator.
At 42140 it had a new YUSA battery with 4 year warranty costing £378.

Those who know recognise that the MK 1 Focus is a very well thought of car [this one was built in their German plant] it's well engineered, good to drive and uncomplicated to fix and finding one like this with the exceptional amount of history, specification and lavish mechanical maintenance is almost impossible. As they get rarer in my opinion examples like this will only increase in value and as I said this site confirms the trend percentage wise ... One for the Ford appreciation society or maybe the festival of the unexpected awaits…!
