Other then the bodywork all of the above was completed over the course of 2022. The car was last MOT’d 4th April 2023 shortly after the engine had been rebuilt & re-fitted. The next stage would have been to run the new engine in after a carb tune due to the increase in capacity from 1275-1310cc. I didn’t get this far with the car and it has only done around 30 miles on the new engine in total.
It then sat in the garage for around a year, due to a change in circumstances I didn’t have the time to do anything with it, and I still haven’t got the time to give it the love it needs now, hence the sale.
There are still a few bits to be completed to make this a perfect classic. Earlier this year I had my work vehicle stolen, unfortunately the metro keys were inside it. I have purchased a new lock set, fitted the main ignition barrel, but the other barrels need to be changed.
Additional to this I would say the following needs to be completed to make this the car it deserves to be.
* Carb Tune
* Red Stripe replacing on drivers seat
* Headliner replacing
* Small scuff and circle of lacquer peel on the front bumper
The car currently stands me at around £16k, so I think what I am asking for is more than reasonable seeing as these are now a very rare classic with only around 230 left, with only 29 currently showing as on the road. Yes this hasn’t got a current MOT, but has done nothing since it’s last one so there will be no issue renewing. I simply haven’t got the time to do the bits that need doing due to other commitments and vehicles.
