1998 Peugeot 106 Quiksilver XR. Only 75k miles from new with MOT until October 2025. 2 keys, HPI clear, folder full of paperwork. Purchased 12 months ago and I've done/ had done a lot of work in that time to get it to my standard: 4x spark plugs, oil filter and air filter service @73k miles. Cambelt/ waterpump/ thermostat @ 73k, head gasket replaced/ head skimmed+pressure tested, new head bolts, 4x injector seals, oil and filter change@75k, both rear trailing arm bushes done @74k, 4x tyres that have done just over 1k miles. Alloys refurbished in February 2024. Rear silencer, centre pipe and lambda sensor replaced @74k miles, OSF brake caliber replaced at 73k miles. Interior is in excellent condition, it has a bluetooth stereo fitted and I replaced the front door speakers last year as they were blown- replaced for better quality that used the same fitting holes. Exterior is in really good condition for the age and it gets attention wherever it goes.
Bad points: (every car has them)
Would benefit from another coolant flush as I took it off the road before getting it done. Cat Converter needs replacing but I have it and will come with the car if sold before I manage to sort. Back bumper has been sprayed by an amateur prior to my ownership, it is still very presentable but I was planning to do it .
Very reluctant sale, I've now purchased a T4 campervan which we will use more. The 106 is sat in a friends garage as I don't use it when its wet or winter and its just a shame for it to be sat considering the money I have spent on it.
Open to sensible offers but not stupid ones, the asking price is what it owes me, but I can now say I've had the pleasure of owning one and that I've done what I can to keep another 106 on the road. Quirky little car. Gets attention everywhere. Extensive list of work carried out within the last 12 months/ 2k miles. Headgasket/ service/ cambelt/ tyres etc etc etc.
