BMW E60 523i 5-series saloon, 6-speed manual, petrol. Low genuine mileage of 63, 500, low number of owners, in excellent condition for its year. Titan Silver with black interior trim that's very clean throughout, as is the engine bay and boot. This E60 generation car uses BMW's legendary N52, 2. 5 litre in-line 6 petrol engine – said to be one of the company's best and most reliable ever. It's in excellent condition, runs very smooth and quiet and has been well serviced. Am told it can be remapped to give the same power as a 525i, but is currently in stock tune.
It's just had NGK Iridium spark plugs, full synthetic engine oil & filter change, cabin filters, air filter, BMW coolant. New Continental tyres all round, new front brake discs & pads, new headlamp bulbs and BMW wiper blades. Gearbox oil just changed, too.
The car drives superbly for its year, being surprisingly nimble and punchy for a big car. Brakes are strong and suspension taut but not harsh. Gearbox and clutch are great. It feels fresh like only a low mileage BMW can.
This is a really rare, low mileage example of what many think was BMW's best ever large saloon car – in lovely rust-free condition. It just needs a little detailing to make perfect. Ideal for classic BMW fans, and/ or collectors.
The car is in Wiltshire near Devizes, fairly close to the M4, A34, A303.
