The Ducati 851 Lucchinelli replica is an almost unknown model ,
Made in a very small number , before the Corsa of 1990 just as Ducati turned the corner to superbike supremecy !
A high spec version of the previous year 851 , but with magnesium wheels , floating disc brakes , high spec brembo calipers , M1R forks , twin injection fuel injection system , P7 computer front mounted for better weight distribution , 888cc engine spec , H section controls, race desmodromic camshafts , dry clutch , 6 gears . Marzocchi spec rear shock and rising rate suspension with Alloy heavily braced swing arm .
Bike has Alloy tank , single seat , lovely open megaphone pipes as sold .
These bikes were scarce at the time and only sold to the top dealers for collectors or race teams , you couldn't buy one off the street and they weren't even listed in the brochure.. although well known to Ducatisti around the world !
This one is in top condition, completely original , cosmetically rebuilt and fully serviced, but drained of fluids for dry storage . History is unknown after coming into the UK from the States .
