The Z3 3. 0si Coupe was the flagship model of the E85 Z4 range and featured a 3000cc naturally-aspirated BMW straight-six, coded N52, producing 261bhp mated to the rear wheels. With its magnesium block, the N52 is light, the ‘double VANOS’ variable valve timing means it pulls hard but revs out too - silky smoothness and the characterful bark of a classic BMW six.
