Supplied new by I & J MacDonald of Maiden Law on May 1st, 1972. The condition of this Morgan is a testament to the care that R. Cawthorne Esq who owned the car for forty-one years (1977 – 2018). The 4/ 4 1600 is fitted with an alternator, four-into-one sports exhaust manifold, sports camshaft, Kenlowe fan, Mintex brake discs & pads and twin Dellorto 40 DHLA carburettors. As well as mechanical enhancements, a thorough bodywork restoration was completed in 2006 including four new aluminium wings. Following the restoration this Morgan was fitted with a new ignition system, heater, oil cooler, and rev counter. A rolling road tune recorded 116. 9bhp and 120. 1lbft of torque. Finished in Midnight Blue with Black upholstery, black weather equipment and painted wire wheels etc.
On 30th April the Morgan was fitted with a Gemmer steering box, this has enhanced the driving experience. providing a lighter, more direct response. The original steering box, which has been refurbished will come with the car. This is a fine example of a classic Morgan, it drives extremely well, keeping pace with modern traffic. It comes with the old V5, current V5C, original owner’s manual and an extensive history file. Offers invited.
