Description
Lovely Example of a 1953 MG TD-2. One of the last 50 ever built.
No 29477 leaving Abingdon on 16/ 07/ 1953. An original matching number, right hand drive car, one of only 1656 ever built ( T Register 12472).
Still looks fantastic after an earlier restoration (No rust ). The engine, gearbox, & front suspension along with the braking system have all been rebuilt in the last 10yrs. It has done very little mileage since. During the engine rebuild it was treated to steel billet Phoenix crankshaft, new camshaft and flywheel starter ring. A Carburetor service has just been done. It has a full tonneau cover and full wet weather gear. It has been garged whilst I have had it and not taken out in the rain. I bought the car in May 2021. I had looked at a large nuber of TC, s and TD, s.
I bought this car, as I liked the fact that it was a matching number car, and although the restoration had been done some time earlier it still looked fantastic. That along with the mechanical work carried out by the previous owner made it a great buy, which it has proved to be. This is a very reluctant sale, but I am just not using it due to personal reasons.
