Description
Matching numbers bike that's in very good, largely original, condition for a 48 year old bike.
Headstock label says it was manufactured July 1977, but for some reason the DVLA decided to register it on an 'R' plate (which would not have been possible) instead of an 'S' plate (01. 08. 77 on).
Bike imported from the USA and UK registered in 2011. I acquired the bike in August 2012 and have hardly used it since.
Last MOT was carried out 27. 10. 12 with a mileage of 4817. It has been garaged since and occasionally turned over to insure it didn't seize.
Current mileage is showing as 4858 and although this can't be verified prior to 2011, the condition and originality of the bike suggests it is genuine.
Some older restoration / re-commissioning work includes:
Fork seals, little end bearing, head stock bearings, front & rear brake shoes, ceramic coating of the exhaust, seat cover replaced, new rear tyre and air filter.
More recent work includes:
Head and barrel striped and re-painted, dismantling and ultrasonic cleaning of the carburettor, decompression valve, piston, reed valves and fuel tap with new seals / gaskets as appropriate.
New front tyre and inner tube.
File of receipts, dating certificate and number plate authorisation certificate from the DVLA.
Some spares / accessories included (seals, gaskets, mirrors, jets and engine rubbers, etc., etc.) and assorted workshop manuals.
Toolkit (not sure if it is all genuine) and two keys. Classic 70's 2-stroke enduro/ trial bike with big single cylinder engine. Lovely condition and very low mileage.
