Original 1994 Jeep Cherokee XJ. Rare Imported Pre-Airbag Model.

- Recent headlamps (these tend to rust and fade over time)
- Just had new front and rear diff oils, and new transfer box oil
- Always run on premium 97/ 99 octane fuel
- Never uses or burns any oil, starts on the button, pulls strongly and changes smoothly
- Kickdown and all 4x4 "on-the-fly" modes work perfectly
- High quality oil and filter replaced yearly (or every 1, 000 miles)
- Blaupunkt CD-Radio
- Classic old-fashioned pre-airbag interior, 3-spoke steering wheel, beige leather seats with no rips or tears
- Classic insurance (£120 per year for me)
- Never any short journeys (min. 15 miles)

WORK NEEDED:
- Has required a new viscous fan since before I bought it. We live rurally so it's never been a problem but it could potentially overheat in traffic if a new fan is not fitted. We have no traffic where we live and I have never let it overheat
- Headlining sagging
- Power steering leak
- Speedo intermittent I think because of an incorrect cable. Electronic GPS speedo supplied
- Usual dings and marks for a 30-year-old car. Original green paint is looking a bit faded now (see pics)
- Interior carpets could do with a good clean
- Aftermarket non-Jeep alloys fitted (I have a set of OEM Jeep 60th Anniversary alloys also available, as pictured)My Jeep was supplied new in Japan in 1994. Imported to UK in 1998. This is a strong, reliable original Cherokee XJ with the desirable and increasingly scarce pre-airbag interior, and a solid body and chassis. I bought it 6 years ago and love it - it's old school American and it's like being transported back to the 1960s inside.
Values for these pre-airbag models are rising as the early XJs get rarer. The last example I saw for sale was for £9, 995 in 2022. It was in excellent condition and it should be noted that, as described, mine will require some tidying and fettling before it is considered the same, hence the price.
I am not in a rush to sell but I just don't use it enough and have two later XJ models waiting to get on the road.
