Description
This is a super rare 1989 Audi 200 Avant Quattro turbo in stunning and even rarer Alpine White. One of only five left on the road. This is the latest chassis number known to the owners club and the last one sold in the UK.
The car was supplied new by Bristol Street Motors and has had only four long-term owners. It’s on just under 130k and had more than full service history, all original Audi hand books and service book.
The car has the same 1B 2. 2 5 cylinder turbo engine and Quattro platform as the better known UR Quattro Coupe. It’s basically the same car but a luxury estate version and equivalent current day pricing of £84, 000 in 1989!
This is a fully loaded car with the half leather 4 position memory seats, sunroof, Climate control and Dolby Blaupunkt stereo system.
The condition of the car speaks for itself, the body is completely straight with a deep shine and the paintwork is incredible. The story is the same inside. There are no stains, cracks or damage to the interior and it still has that classic Audi smell. It even still retains the original build sticker behind a panel in the boot.
The engine bay and underneath are great and all very original and honest with no aftermarket parts anywhere.
The car has five matching original alloys with five matching Goodyear ultra grip tyres as would have been spec originally.
Just after the cars’s previous MOT it had nearly £1500 service including alternator, battery, suspension arms and bushes. The car fires on the first turn of the key and drives absolutely fantastically. The engine is quiet and smooth, the clutch is exactly where you want it to be in the gear changes are very precise.
I appreciate the car looks like a big lazy estate car, but the underpinnings are that of a rally winning Quattro and therefore the car drives just the same. It has lots of power pulls very surprisingly in all gears with a great woosh from the turbo.
All the brakes and serviceable parts are like new and the car really needs nothing at all.
There is a HUGE file of history and receipts and a full stamped service book. Lots of main dealer paperwork going right back to 1989.
Also has both sets of original keys.
Being one of only five and they’re being no others for sale in the UK makes this a rare opportunity to own a bit of Audi heritage
