Time to sell our W reg XK8 convertible. It has done 62, 000 miles and we have owned it since 2020. We have serviced it annually at Jaguar specialists during our ownership and it was last serviced in March 2025. The last two services were done at Horner and Hudson in Macclesfield, who are considered by the XK Car Club to be the experts in XK8. Before that, it had full Jaguar service history until 2012.
We are members of the XK Car Club (XKCC) and this is the second XK8 we have owned, and we absolutely love it. We are the third owners. We specifically bought this one because of the rust-free nature of it. If you know these cars, then you will know the bad points regarding corrosion in several areas. This has never suffered and it is structurally very sound. When it was serviced by Horner and Hudson they commented that it is rare to see one so rust-free.
It has an MOT until March 2026. We originally bought it as an MOT failure and got all remedial work done.
The previous owner had owned the car since 2003.
When we bought it, we had it professionally resprayed because there were a few dinks and scratches from being in and around London. It looks absolutely stunning in silver with barely any marks.
We also had the front seats re-trimmed which was supplied by the famous Aldridge Trimming (they normally feature on TV shows such as Car SOS and Wheeler Dealers). The carpets are also in excellent condition. It is definitely one of the nicer XK8s out there and gets a lot of nice comments
It sits on 20” BBS split rim alloys clad in Michelin tyres with plenty of tread left. These look very nice but if you wanted them perfect then they would benefit from a refurb at some point.
Everything works as it should, including the electric roof.
The reason we are selling it is because I have been after a White Badge XKR for a while and have now bought one.
