Very solid car, professionally & extensively restored over a couple of years from 2005-2007. This included a full bare metal re-spray.
Car has been kept in a garage since restoration work completed. Lightly used over the last 18 years, but not nearly enough to justify keeping the car.
Same owner since 1998. Approx 9000 miles in that time.
Extensive list of receipts for parts & work done, with all common problem areas for VW bugs either replaced or restored.
Floor pans, heat exchangers, heater channels, running boards, spare wheel well, rear apron, front & rear wings, etc.
Front disc brake conversion, front beam replaced with puma style adjustable beam. Rear brakes replaced.
All wheel bearings and suspension bushings replaced. All shock absorbers replaced.
Engine fully rebuilt in 2007 with 1641 pistons & heads. Electronic ignition with new 009 distributor. Carburetor is a factory refurbished Solex. Replacement clutch at time of engine re-build.
Interior is custom with period style front bucket seats and original rear bench re-upholstered to match. High quality carpet set in oatmeal.

As can be seen in the pictures there are some areas of superficial surface rust on the underside, but everything is fundamentally solid.
Paint is excellent with no areas of any real concern.
Car starts, runs, drives and stops well. It is a very usable 53yo classic car.
Unfortunately the car's 53yo owner is no longer quite as usable in maintaining and using the car as it deserves.
The car has never been shown, but would do well in club shows. It is a moderate Cal-Look inspired Bug.
Car is currently being stored in a friends motor workshop, so an opportunity to view the car on a ramp for a full inspection.
Due to car's owner working away during the week viewing is available on a Friday, & possibly Monday, only in vehicle workshop.
Can be viewed at home on the weekend, but with no opportunity to get the car up on ramps.
A couple of boxes of spare parts, including a new Weber 30/ 34 carb, spare 009 distributor and an electric washer pump and bottle conversion to save the spare tyre going flat.
