1976 Honda CB550F1 in Shiny Orange for sale £4250
Unrestored, original exhaust, tool kit, owner’s manual. New Old stock tank in 2017. Regular oil changes as per spec and lots of receipts.
It runs very sweetly has a few subtle upgrades such as stainless steel wheels, modern brake disc replica, braided lines, inline fuel filter, hagon shocks, iridium sparks, uprated headlight bulb, AGM battery. I’ve owned and looked after this one for nearly ten years but time and other commitments means it gets dwindling use. I also went through and replaced every weeping oil seal (kick start, primary drive, oil pump) over time. It had a new clutch and new timing chain guide and tensioner in 2018. Definitely
Any photos please ask.
cHaving owned the 400/ 4, 550k3 and the CB750F1 in my time, as well as a US CB450, this bike is the best handling, the sweetest running and the most tuned for british roads. It seems perfectly balanced back to front, and runs on rails round corners with its Avons. Organic and personal like old machinery is, it starts without fuss and getting to know just how much choke to apply given the temperature is a joy.
It won't win a concourse, but then if you want to ride a bike and enjoy how many heads it turns, then this is definitely what I found owning it.
