EXTERIOR
This handsome S8 looks fantastic in Aluminium Silver Metallic. The paintwork remains to an original and great condition all round with a deep shine and only a handful of minor blemishes to report. In line with the mileage there is a small amount of light stone chips and a few discreet marks on the bumpers further evidencing the car’s honesty. The lights are clear all round.
Having previously been under the same ownership since new, the car has clearly been a much loved example. The S8’s combination of luxury, high performance and superior build quality has led most of them to quite effortlessly rack up the miles. As a result, finding approx. 100k mile cars such as this one have fast become a rare find, especially in such good shape and with such great provenance to boot.
INTERIOR
The black leather sports seats still provide excellent comfort, feeling as soft and supportive as ever. The wood inlays are a nice complement, shining like new with no fading or cracks to report. The upholstery is really well presented with a lovely finish, and even commonly worn areas such as the steering wheel and driver’s bolster hint at only light use. The driver seat has the electric bolster support, which world well..
MECHANICAL
The venerable 4. 2-litre powerplant starts the first turn of the key, idles without fuss, and effortlessly picks up to cruising speed. Provoke the accelerator further and the tuned V8 really moves the car forward, pulling through the gears smoothly with an intoxicating soundtrack to match.
Lifting the bonnet, the engine bay presents to a very high standard with no signs of any damage or poor repair to be found. The last service was only recently carried out. We were particularly impressed with the clean condition of the underside.
WHEELS, TYRES AND BRAKES
The factory spec’d 18-inch Avus alloy wheels look good and really fill the arches perfectly, plus in our opinion, provide a better driving experience, than the larger 20-inch upgrades many people seem to choose. The brakes operate well.

First registered in Sept 1998, this fantastic S8 has now driven only 109k miles from new. It was purchased from Autohaus Rechter Audi (the supplying dealer) for the previous owner's wife and after over 25 years of careful ownership, and following on from his wife’s passing in 14 years ago, the owner was reluctant to sell the car. The registration was transferred into his name. Accordingly the V5C shows them as the keepers in total (Mr & Mrs Losel).
Within the paperwork you’ll find the original Audi document pack, owner’s manuals, and the fully stamped service booklet. Most services were carried out by Audi dealerships. The timing belt was last changed at 105k miles.
