Moto Guzzi 750 S3 1975
An opportunity to acquire a very desirable Italian bike.
Following on from when the ‘750-S’ was discontinued in 1975, the ‘750-S3’ was launched & only produced for one year, and amongst several minor differences it lost the rear drum brake and was upgraded to 3 discs hence S'3'
It was the predecessor to the Mk1 Le-Mans.
The Mandello factory produced in the region of only 950 bikes in total worldwide and only approx. 200 bikes were ever sold in the UK.
I’ve owned the bike for about 7 years and in that time I’ve carried out many upgrades, too many to list really but a here's a brief summary:
The original chrome barrels/ pistons were replaced with new Nikasil coated 750 barrels.
Full engine & gearbox rebuild with High output oil pump,
Powder coated frame.
Dellortos overhauled
Borrani rims relaced with stainless spokes & brass nipples – newish tyres.
Dyna ignition coils & electronic ignition module.
Rear bevel box overhauled with new universal joint / swingarm taper bearings.
Koni adjustable shocks
Newish ‘Silentium’ silencers – (rare as hens teeth !)
Current mileage around 27k.
I have a file of history and receipts for the work carried out throughout my ownership.
Age 1975 with 5 previous keepers.
Engine number 35359 – chassis number VK215131. These numbers are correct on the Guzzi register for the 750S3.
I don’t need to sell the bike, but I just don’t ride it anymore so think someone else could get some real pleasure from owning and riding it. If it doesn’t sell I’ll keep it – it’s a lovely thing !
I’m not looking for any offers or any part exchanges. The bike is stored in Windsor, Berkshire. I would be more than happy to work with couriers, I also can arrange for international shipping/ crating.
