Very sound and original MK1 Granada XL saloon, imported from South Africa in 2020, I'm the second UK owner and have owned it since early 2022, so just over 3 years in my care.
In that time I've overhauled the brakes with all new linings, flexis, master cylinder / calipers / rear slave cyls and a couple of metal pipes underneath, along with a new handbrake cable. Suspension wise, all front balljoints and an uprated 'S / GT' thicker anti roll bar. Electronic Accuspark conversion and a new water pump, very tidy and original under the bonnet with only the air filter being repainted, a nice quiet engine with a new carb, leads and few other detail bits. Stainless exhaust system and a proper SA 3. 0 5 speed gearbox conversion from the Sierra 3. 0. New tyres all round on powdercoated rims.
Body has all original panels and paint, SA 'Zaandvoort Orange' is mostly original and polishes up really well. Underneath has had no welding or will need any, Buzzweld zinc coated and all box sections wax injected. All locks re-tumblered along with a new boot lock and ignition lock. New rear lamp lenses to SA spec. Ideally needs front seat cover bases as the vinyl has split along the stitching, rest of the interior is very good and original.
90082 kms which is 55000 or so miles, and there's some spares to go with the car like a UK instrument cluster and lots of detail bits never fitted.
Owes me close to 20k realistically, and only up for grabs because a bucket list car needs to be ticked off.
