Description
Lovely Nautic blue W124 with low miles. Recent jobs I have done include inlet manifold gasket and a fresh MOT. It's the basic version with no A/ C or leather but my view is that this adds to the charm.
Recently enthusiast owned including myself. The Grey cloth is in fine order and the seats remain firm and supportive with all adjustments working correctly over original carpet mats.
The original radio is missing but a semi-period Pioner single slot CD lives in its place performing perfectly well with AUX in too. All four electric windows are sprightly with the signature odd power mirrors working as they should. First Aid kit present and complete, rear headrest drop solenoids present and function. Interior plastics in good order, and only a small headlining droop which is likely to be easily rectified (I am a spanners/ wires hobbiest only I'm afraid!)
Glass in great order, bookpack present, two keys with two alarm fobs both of which have fresh batteries and work fine. The sliding roof is present in lieu of the fussy A/ C.
Gauges work great and there are no warning lights on the dash at all. The car maintains a healthly 90 degrees at all times whilst running.
Starts first time, every time and leaks no fluids whilst running perfectly through the auto 'box and being very frugal on fuel for ehat it is. Much better than my old E230. Parking brakes holds the car and foot brakes are a joy for an older car.
Externally, and as expected there a few paintwork imperfections, front wing edges, some crazing on the roof due to UV and the odd lacquer peel here and there - please study the pictures. All four alloys have been recently refurbed and are in great order running straight and true at all speeds, shod in identical Toyo Proxes with plenty of life. The eagle eyed of you will notice an odd "190" spare - but no matter. Toolkit in the very clean bootspace is present and correct, I have fitted a new electric aerial as the original had expired.
Please note the silver coating on the boot handle needs refurbishment, and being extremely picky the wheel nuts have surface corrosion. Purchased by me to run as a daily driver, sadly I am TUPE'ing to a new company and they wont allow its use. My parents had these and 190's when I was a kid, I have also had a coupe with the same 2. 2 litre petrol engine, its not been tarted up with plastic, rubber or other dressing.
Original keeper for many years having originally been supplied by Park Lane, please see the service stamp & dealer decals pics for reference.
