1953 Fiat 500c. A slice of Italian style and la dolce vita!
The original Fiat 500. 'Topolino' means little mouse in Italian, and is also the Italian name for Disney’s Mickey Mouse. This nickname has become the main identification for these cars.
Produced between 1936–1955, in 3 variants, the A, B and C models.
The ‘A’ and ‘B’ had the same body shape, but the ‘B’ had an upgraded engine.
The ‘C’ featured a facelifted front end and an all-aluminium overhead valve engine.
Mickey is a rare 500c Transformabile model (Convertible). Imported in 2000, the original Italian licence plates (SV 17049) and history going back to the first sale in Savona Province (Northern Italy) on 24/ 07/ 1953, are in the owner’s possession.
He is powered by a 569cc, 4-cylinder, overhead valve, water-cooled engine mounted in front of the front axle, with a 4-speed gearbox and rear-wheel-drive.
The radiator sits behind the engine, which also provides heating for the cabin & screen.
This 'Mickey' is a pristine and rare 500c 'Topolino' in a very desirable colour combination. Lots of time and money spent over the last decade.
In an original 'Grigio' paintwork (a very pale grey/ green), the body work is in amazing condition, with a ceramic coating.
Now has a bespoke & complimentary green interior (completed in Oct 2023 by multiple award winning and magazine featured CCR Autotrim of Loughborough) with rear bench seat.
New matching green mohair convertible roof.
New battery, starter motor, fuel pump, spark plugs & condenser fitted in the last 2 years. Tires are good. Spare wheel in situ.
Paint work, panels, underneath all excellent.
