Description

MV Agusta 750s (First Series) Engine No. 214 010 / Frame No. 214 007

The tenth MV 750s built at Agusta in 1971, restored at Magni in 2023.

There's something about Italian machines, something indefinable but definitely present, that transforms the simplest machine into a work of art, a living definition of the Italian lifestyle, from the humblest Vespa to the mighty Ducati and MV Agusta.

Of course, some Italian icons stand out, and at the top of the pyramid of transalpine achievements stands the MV Agusta 750s. Complex, exclusive, almost aloof... As aloof as Count Domenico Agusta who gave birth to it. But beyond all considerations, even the most objective, the MV Agusta 750s has a solid reputation and a special aura.

The first series (1971) is today nicknamed "the unattainable star."
That says it all!

Now let's go back to the late 1960s, to 1969 to be precise. MV Agusta achieved enormous success at the Milan Motorcycle Show by launching the new 750s, and production began in 1971. It used 1960s "Grand Prix" technology, which involved expensive gears to drive the camshafts, roller bearings, and shims. A solidly roaring engine, fed by a 4-stroke Del'Orto crankshaft. The oil tank, integrated into the front of the engine block, contains nearly 5 liters of lubricant, and this is ultimately the only difference between the 750s engine and the competition engine of MV's Grand Prix machines. Its transmission is undoubtedly its most admirable feature: gearbox, drive shaft, and axle, each part designed and manufactured at Agusta, forms a true work of art.

Excellently documented. Clear history, matching numbers. Machine in working order.
