Description
This is a Citroen special based on 2CV running gear, with a bespoke chassis and body (designed by Richard Oakes). Because of this, it is fantastic to drive, and as Only 68 were produced, it is a very rare and head turning car.
It's been built to a very high standard by my dad who was a mechanical engineer and properly registered as a Blackjack Avion in 2000, with a nice older registration plate. The car has only done 21, 600 miles since the build and all documentation is available to prove this.
Prior to putting the car on the road, all parts were refurbished , including rebuilding the engine(later and higher power 602cc) and gearbox, which are still in very good condition.
The bodywork and chassis are also in very good condition; there are just a few stone chips here and there, with a slight crazing mark on the bonnet ( see pictures), but it doesn't detract from the overall look. It has a new aluminium tank (not after market but made by the owner of the Avion production and directly replacing the prone to leaking fibreglass original one) , Lumenition electronic ignition, a detachable perspex windscreen (I'm 6'2" and the airflow is over my head) , full tonneau and side covers, rare spare wheel, detachable steering wheel, pannier mounts, luggage rack and 12v aux socket . So it is set-up for longer trips.
It easily passed the MOT, with no advisories and I have the build documentation and manuals.
I have another classic that needs my attention, hence the reluctant sale of the Avion. Any inspection is welcome and please contact me if you have any questions.
