Description
The history as I understand it is that the car was orignally bought as a company car, it was then either gifted or bought by the lady employee. I bought the car from a dealer who aquired it from the estate as a non runner, it turned out to be the fuel pump wasn't working due to a blown fuse.
The car is in excellent condition having been waxolyed from new, with very low miles.
The only bad points are the sunroof doesn't work, it may just also be a fuse, but it doesn't leak so I haven't messed with it, and there must of been something spilt on the back seat as the pile has been worn away in the cleaning process, nothing a artfully placed haynes manual cant hide on show days.
In my ownership I have replaced the tyres as driving around on 40 year old rubber is not an option, although the spare is still the factory original.
I have had the wheels refurbished, and scuff marks on the bumpers repaired and the bumbers retextured.
I have some history, and 2 keys. plus filters sparkplugs etc for the next service.
The car is now registered as a historic vehicle so road tax and MOT free.
In the last year I have driven just 159 miles, so as you can see I'm not getting the use due to other commitments. plus having 4 vehicles and only 1 driver is I am told by the boss excessive.
I have ticked the imported box as it was built in Japan as all Accords were at the time. I bought it as I'd previously owned a MK1 Honda Accord bought new in 1977 in Gibraltar, I liked it very much, but sold it on my return to the UK to raise a deposit for a house.
So when I saw this one on ebay, I took the opportunity for a trip down memory lane, and have not been dissapointed, the steering is still finger light, and for a 1600 auto very nippy.
