THIS BIKE IS READY TO RIDE & WILL BRING A SMILE TO ANY ENTHUSIASTS FACE!
SUPER RARE IN THAT IT IS UNRESTORED, ALMOST 100% FACTORY ORIGINAL & SUPER LOW MILEAGE & ONLY A TOTAL OF 5 OWNERS IN ITS LIFE
The bike had new Avon tyres in November last year & replacement rear shocks (but have originals that could be refurbed if required) & the wheels were re-spoked on original chrome rims & I am told by previous collector/ owner everything else is as it left the factory. Whilst I cannot guarantee the mileage - if you study the overall level of minimal wear & tear throughout the bike it really stacks up as being genuine - I mean just look at the seat & footpegs! I have 3 old V5's including a copy of the original owner when he sold on in 1983 with a covering "sold as seen" signed letter (typed out on an old fashioned typewriter) & that's about all paperwork wise. One key fits all the locks as you would expect & all lights, switchgear etc. work perfectly - again as you would expect for this blatantly cherished example
If you watch the video (Just search for "Purple Helmet Motorbikes" on YouTube) you can see the bike starts 1st gentle kick from cold (and has done every single time I've run it) & quickly doesn't need the choke then settles down to a lovely idle. It rides absolutely spot on & is just a charming little bike in every way
I've just detailed it & obviously it is now registered as an historic vehicle so doesn't require MOT or paid tax & as she runs so sweetly - "Goldie" is ready to ride & enjoy. I really doubt you will find a better example & its value lies in the originality & having not had a the usual nut & bolt resto, not to mention the mileage!
I am semi-retired & do this as a passion/ pension top up - consequently my bikes are competitively priced (I have no overheads) & I believe you will not find better presented examples as I personally detail them PROPERLY with no jet washing or harsh chemicals by using waterless wash & go system & a lot of WD40.
