Description
1951 MG TD with Mashal super charger.
LHD car, UK built and shipped to the USA from new.
Repatriated back into the UK from Illinois in 1991 by its current owner and having the same single ownership to this day.
The XPAG engine pulls well. Fitted with a aluminium rocker cover and fluted side / breather cover.
Super charger...
The Mashal 75 super charger is a much sort after unit, being very rare to find these days. It gives the XPAG 1250cc that extra power it thrives. Making the drive exciting and the car very usable in modern day traffic.
Original four speed gearbox is smooth and quiet with a solid and positive gear change.
The paintwork is generally in great condition, just a few age related marks and some minor surface blemished on the wing edges. The chrome is also generally good. The head lamp rear bowls would benefit from being re chromed to match quality of the other items on the car.
The hood and side screens are excellent. Obviously been replaced relatively recently and in quality Mohair material.
A large history file and multiple hard back books relating to the MG accompany the car.
This is a wonderful find (very rare with the super charger) and a bargain at this price.
Sold with a full service and ready to enjoy.
