Description
1975 850 Mk3 Commando Roadster in black/ gold.
Repatriated from the United States around three years ago, the bike is UK registered on an age-related plate, it has Lucas Rita ignition, a single Mikuni VM36 carb and ‘peashooter’ silencers (no balance pipe on downpipes) fitted, otherwise a very original machine.
I have been recommissioning this bike over the last year with both brake callipers and master cylinders overhauled, all oils renewed, electrical system checked through/ repaired, carb rebuilt, new air filter, battery, oil hoses, etc., etc.
I have fitted a Nippon Denso starter motor and as such, the engine starts on the button and runs evenly with no undue noises and a clean exhaust.
Clutch good and all gears select properly.
The machine is close to completion with the following items requiring attention - battery side panel a bit scratched and a couple of very small scratches to the tank (No dents).
There is a small ‘ripple’ on the rear of the front mudguard, a few small dents to the left side silencer and the tyres would be best replaced.
Matching numbers with a dating certificate from the NOC and copy of the factory dispatch log entry. V5 in my name
