The tale of my lovely Subaru.
I purchased it October 2020, with a previous owner using it for motorway miles, with 47k on the clock. It was my only car and I love it. Current milage of 63K miles, silver black leather interior 5 speed manual with the low/ high ranger gearbox.
Work done:
Fitted this month (May) - clutch - JDM parts inc cam belt - tensioners - pulleys - front engine cover,
new clutch fork if sale goes ahead,
new front disc brakes,
new front pads,
new front calipers,
refurbished rear calipers,
rear discs,
rear pads,
rear diff oil change,
transmission/ front diff oil changes
I had the rear windows tinted,
I fitted new boot struts,
sound deadened the spare wheel well,
change of interior lighting to LED,
and I installed Bluetooth (Grom) kit which works via the CD changer controls,
No structural rust (MOT passed test last week and all it needed was 2 x rear drop links which have been fitted)
The car has been off the road since last June 2024 (hence the SORN status) and is at Sprinting Hare Subaru specialist in Avonmouth. A cam belt tensioner broke so the engine came out and had headwork (new valve seals, etc), (see attached invoice). Everyone that has seen this car over the last year says it's a great example of a low milage Legacy Estate, which is getting rare. All new parts are from Japan.
The car will be back in the Oxfordshire area by July, MOT passed, waiting till July 1st to TAX.
When the car was off the road I had to get another, so I think it's time the Subaru car was kept as a second modern classic. I also don't have the parking space for two cars unfortunately, so I'll be sad to see it go, it's such a great car. Not big for parking, but loads of space inside. And its feels so sturdy on the road with permanent 4x4, matching dunlop summer tyres all around.
Priced for the work thats been done, and the lower milage than others I've seen advertised.
Having said that, do message for any questions. Open to sensible offers. It's an unmolested example, 3 former owners. I have not done any engine mods, it's all as from the factory, the same with suspension, wheels etc. All factory items. Silver with black leather interior 5 speed manual with the low/ high ranger gearbox. It's a modern classic now and I looked after it.
