For sale is Bruce Browns 1970 Husqvarna 400 Cross.
This motorcycle was constructed by Husqvarna 08 December 1969 and flown by special shipment to San Diego for promotional use by motorcycle importer MED International. The motorcycle was later loaned to Bruce Brown Films for movie use after which the title was signed over to Bruce Brown.
The sale of the motorcycle includes various items of original paperwork.
The motorcycle is currently located in the UK. It is in need of full restoration. The frame is straight without damage. The motor is locked and does not turn over. I have paperwork to suggest that the motor was changed out for a motor of the same age and spec. It is fitted with various upgrades and aftermarket parts.
I have a number of original (non reproduction) parts to assist with restoration of the motorcycle available to the buyer by separate negotiation. The motorcycle on its own is very sought after being associated with Steve McQueen and On Any Sunday movie. With the provenance included with the sale this is a great opportunity to own a big slice of motocross history.
