Description
1955 Chevrolet Belair sedan. Ive owned this car since 2016 and had a wonderful time with it but i have decided due to not using it much anymore to let it go. It is classed as historic so no tax or mot required although i have just mot'ed her like i always do. It has the 3 speed manual gearbox with overdrive which all works fine the gearbox was overhauled in 2018 by Allders the engine is the original 265ci V8 which is running perfectly and was overhauled also in 2018 and the casting numbers are all dated early 1955 from my research. It has a later (1957) inlet manifold and a modern Edelbrock carb. i have added dual circuit brakes and servo with front discs and 2" dropped spindles. It has a full stainless steel Borla exhaust system. Inside it has a new headlining and reupholstered seats and a nice carpet. The radio and clock are not working. Underside has been cleaned to bare metal and etch primed and red oxide painted, and is in good condition. This car has never been welded and does not need any. A couple of the wheels are showing some pitting in the chrome. Check the pictures carefully i have tried to show it all any questions please ask. The drivers door drop glass has a crack in it which was there when i purchased the car and i have left it alone as it suits the rest of the cars lovely patinaThis year she is 70 years old and never been welded. I have the original front drum brakes and single circuit master cylinder should it need to be returned to original
