Rover Mini Cooper 35 edition, number 20 of 200 UK supplied cars. 1996. 49000 miles.
4 previous owners. Current owner 3 years, completed mechanical restoration after being off the road for over 10 years.
Previous owner had body restoration around 2012/ 2013 including full body repaint. Car was never finished and remained off the road due to previous owner’s ill health.
Full mechanical restoration during my ownership including but not limited to - front subframe powder coated, new rear subframe, powder coated arms with polly bushes, EBC brakes, new ball joints, hi-low suspension, new clutch, Engine bay painted and new foam sound proofing. Original alloys have been powder coated and fitted with 4 x new Yokohama tyres, original spare in boot, new Lucas battery.
Mini passed its first Mot since 2012 in October 24 with no advisories.
Lots of money spent on parts with receipts and 100s of hours of labour!
There is some minor evidence of the paint being 10+ years old, for example under the front headlights, bottom of drivers door, bubble under rear screen, Scratches on the bonnet, I have not touched anything up so not hiding anything. Has been welded in the past having both A panels replaced and boot floor repairs prior to repaint, front panel and wings look to be original. Underside is excellent and painted in body colour.
Engine and gearbox are excellent and drives as it should.
Interior is in excellent condition, they are still firm and look great, new seat belts for safety. Walnut dash is in lovely condition, headlining is perfect, carpets are excellent. Door cards are excellent.
Original steering wheel and gear knob are excellent.
Truly a very original Cooper 35 in lovely condition, classic mini enthusiast owned and maintained. £14500 or very nearest offer.
