Here we have another MK1 Renault Twingo
This one is a fresh import from Holland, it’s got a UK MOT until June 2026, it’s had all the customs and import fees already paid and the NOVA certificate is due imminently (expected by the end of this coming week). Once that arrives it’s ready to register, all that will cost is £55 plus £121 for 6 months or £220 for 12 months tax, this means all the hard work is already done for you! All of the Dutch documents are in order.
The car started life in Germany as NE-AD 950 in Kreis Neuss near Düsseldorf to a Mrs Ingeborg Wolber in 2003 and she kept the car until it was exported to Holland in 2013. Its life in Holland has been through 3 owners, all of which were in Amsterdam, the last owner being a Twingo specialist who has about 15 Twingos and various parts.
It’s finished in F47 Bleu Cyclade she’s not had a bad life, it’s rust free, there are some fair wear and tear marks like you’d expect on a 22 year old car however most of the car is fairly straight. Mostly just parking dings, there’s a scratch on the rear bumper. All in all quite presentable!
Inside is fairly good too, it’s got the correct interior for the spec, red and blue fish net pattern seats, silver trims and blue leather steering wheel and gear lever/ gaiter. There’s a small hole in the carpet where the left foot would rest but nothing really to write home about!
Mechanically it’s spot on, it’s had a hell of a lot of maintenance prior to me collecting it including timing belt, clutch, thermostat housing, water pump, aux belt, engine mount, engine filters and fluids and the breather system. It was noted as advisories on the MOT for a CV gaiter slightly deteriorated and a wheel bearing with slight play. I think drove this back from Holland and have done around 900km in it and not had a single issue. I’ve just fitted 4 new tyres. The fog light has been wired in and the headlamps modified to pass the mot so no god awful stickers.
