Description
A 1979 Bultaco Sherpa 250 198A, a project complete rebuild, refurb costing over £5000.
The sale is due to ill health.
I think £3500 is a fair return. It’s time to pass this bike on, as I’m no longer able to ride it comfortably. Since its complete rebuild, it has only been used for about 50 miles. The bike comes with the original registration document, the current V5, numerous photos, engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and a detailed spreadsheet of expenses. My goal for the rebuild was to transform it into a green lane/ trail bike, suitable for leisurely rides rather than competitive trials, as both the bike and I are past our prime for that. While it retains much of its original design, I made a few modifications for road use, including electronic ignition, 12-volt DC lighting, and a dual seat for added comfort. The bike features a five-speed transmission with a gear pattern of one down and four up, and I upgraded the front sprocket from the standard 11 to 12 teeth, keeping it within trials gearing. This bike as covered us as good as new.
