Jaguar X308 XJ8 3. 2 automatic in exceptionally good condition and with a very low mileage of 46, 500. This car is a Japanese import – hence cheaper road tax – with no rust anywhere that I can see, and excellent paint, underbody and interior.
It has only been in the UK for a few years, and during that time a previous owner embarked on a thorough programme of servicing to make the car perfect – see final photo. In my ownership it's had a new set of Continental PremiumContact tyres, and an oil and PAS fluid change. The result is an absolutely superb car to look at, and to drive. As any Jaguar fan will tell you it's the last of the 'real' XJs, and just wafts effortlessly around - to a subtle but gorgeous V8 soundtrack. This car really is exceptional, one of the very best in existence of its age I would say.
The 240BHP V8 engine is silent, and being the final 'run out' X308 has metal timing chain tensioners for reliability. The suspension is superb, as is the steering and brakes, and the gearbox is perfect - along with the rest of the drivetrain.
The interior is close to perfect, with none of the fading and hanging headlinings you would expect from an average 23 year old Jag. The leather is superb, almost like new, as are the carpets and wood. The paint is superb too, largely unmarked with no fading or rust bubbles pushing through. Everything about the car screams out that it's been garaged and pampered – and it's a superb colour too!
