Description
We are absolutely thrilled to be offering for sale this gorgeous 1956 AUSTIN HEALEY 100/ 4. Finished in CARMINE RED with MATCHING RED leather, this car has enjoyed a major restoration by it's owner 12 years ago when it was a barn find . Hardly used. Since its restoration, the car has covered 658 miles. It was the previous owners little fun toy he kept in his collection amongst his Bentley's, Rolls Royce and Ferrari's.
Named 100 for 100HP and over 100MPH (colloquially named 100/ 4s) these two-seat Healeys are powered by a torquey 2660cc 4-cylinder. Regarded as the purest in terms of design and feel with a low kerb weight. A drop-down windscreen is among iconic features. 1953-55 BN1 cars utilise a 3-speed gearbox with overdrive on second and third - not something to be put off by with a final drive ratio identical to BN2 cars.
This particular 100 underwent a full restoration in 2013 and has been very well cared for during this time with no expense spared maintaining it with various specialists over the years.
