Description
Has been in long term, indoor storage since 2018, owner now just wants to move it on. Basically a sound, running , driving old Merc. Had a new fuel pump and filter fitted to get it running again after standing so long (pump was siezed). Body is good, with very little corrosion evident. Worse bit is along the leading edge of the roof where it meets the top edge of the screen. Looks to of had a new screen in it at some point and the fitter damaged the paint leaving the metal bare and allowing it to get rusty. No holes, just scabby in places and the trim piece itself, which is loosely fitted in the pictures, covers the majority of it so an easy fix.
The cloth interior trim is very good with just a small wear patch on the drivers seat side bolster, other wise just dusty. Dash and clocks all good ( odometer is not recording so mileage shown will be wrong) . All the wood effect trim is excellent Two out of four electric windows have sprung into life, the other two you can hear the motors trying but windows are stuck. Has an electric sun roof, not tried it as the car from today is living outside and i dont want it to open and then not close. Period Alpine stereo works and it even still has all four of its original mudflaps and its first aid kit on the rear shelf along with its owners books.
Mechanically everything seems to work, brakes gearbox etc. Good oil pressure on the engine with no nasty smoke. Bit stuttery on first start up but that soon clears. Tyres all have plenty of tread but obviously are old. Has been driven up and down a private road with no problems. MOT expired in 2019 so being sold as a project, not fit for road use, to be trailored away or recovered.
NOTE: Please ring as emails are not getting through.
PS. Will need a new battery as old one is no good.
