Jaguar XK8 4 litre Coupe in British Racing Green.
Reluctantly up for sale after 14 enjoyable years of ownership and only selling as it’s becoming difficult for me to get in and out of.
Old age is catching me up!!
The vehicle has been meticulously maintained in my ownership, with all the corresponding service history to hand.
Its mileage is slightly higher than most, but it has been used on longer journeys backwards and forwards to France where I lived for 20 years.
It has wanted for nothing in my ownership and has literally had thousands of pounds lavished on it over the years.
Engine has been rebuilt and anything else that needed attention was addressed, i. e. timing chains, tensioners etc at the same time.
It has had remedial work to both rear wings in the past with any rot being cut out and made good, likewise the rear chassis has been completely rebuilt to address the usual Jaguar issues.
Bodywork as shown in the photographs is in good condition.
The car has received a new headlining, and both front seats have been reupholstered in the original colour leather, making the interior still a really nice place to be.
The front windscreen has recently been replaced and is chip free.
Recent work carried out: all brakes and brake pipes have been renewed, air conditioning now recharged and working well.
Tyres all good.
All recent works has been carried out by Swallows, Jaguar Specialists in Somerset.
The car has been very reliable in my ownership and I will be sad to see her go, but needs must.
I would consider a small car in part exchange, something run of the mill ( Ford or Vauxhall) which is probably more upright and which I can get into easier if this helps with the sale.
