For sale is my one previous owner from new, low mileage, excellent condition 2002 Honda Civic Type R (EP3).
The car is currently only on 82, 000 miles, which is very low for an EP3 these days and has had only one owner before me. This owner was an enthusiast and mechanic who maintained the car to an exceptional standard, servicing it himself and storing it in a garage at all times. As a result, the car has no rust or mechanical issues whatsoever, and even has fully working A/ C and the original logbook!
In my ownership I have kept it in a garage and used it only as an occasional weekend car, as such I have completed only 10, 000 miles in 4 years.
During my ownership, I have had the car professionally undersealed by a local and reputable mechanic with extensive experience working with EP3's. I have also added tasteful modifications which I believe enhance the experience at no cost spared, whilst also keeping all of the original parts (which will be included in the sale). All parts are either OEM or brand new and from quality sources.
These modifications are as follows:
- Honda OEM facelift headlights (brand new from Honda)
- Tegiwa carbon fibre airbox
- Genuine Mitsubishi EVO 8 alloys (lighter than EP3 alloys)
- Michelin PS4 tyres
- Eibach lowering springs
- Solid Fabrications full stainless steel exhaust system (from engine headers to back box)
- Air walker lower lip for the front bumper
Though modified, I have always wanted to retain this car to a high standard. As a result, these parts cost well over £3, 000 and were installed by a mechanic, again at no cost spared. All original parts will come with the car. In short, this is a low mileage, very low owner, EP3 which has been enthusiast owned it's entire life. It has escaped the cheap modifications and red-lining abuse that most have suffered in recent years, and is one of the few examples which can genuinely be said to be 'rust free'.
This is a car that must be seen to be fully appreciated. It drives and feels like a far newer car than it is, and is unlike the vast majority of examples on sale today.
With quality examples of appreciating in value, this car is sure to be worth more in the future.
