Beautifully presented JBA FALCON in Guards Red. Built over a lengthy period of time by Bill, an engineer and avid model aircraft flyer. A 1979 2. 0 Cortina was used as a donor car with the engine and gearbox replaced with factory reconditioned units. Back axle overhauled and most suspension components replaced with new parts including Spax adjustable shocks. The car was first registered in 2000 with the reg. from the donor car. There is a written and photographic record of the build journey which makes for interesting reading. Also, the JBA Factory build manual. In 2010, Inspired by a Jaguar SS100 seen at a local car show, Bill pulled out all the stops and completed the car to a very high standard. The build quality and attention to detail are testimony to his skills and patience, loads of stainless fasteners and profusion of stainless dome nuts, even on the back axle!
On acquiring the car 3 years ago, I did some light recommissioning, replacing fluids, cambelt, alternator belt, rear brake cylinders and tyres. Recent improvements include high torque starter motor, electric fuel pump, Lucas sports coil and iridium spark plugs. Also a 'quickshift' gear lever, a big improvement on the original.
The car is pictured with my own designed slot in windows as I like the 'frameless' look but the original factory sliding windows and Jaguar style hinged quarter lights are included. chrome wire wheels excellent condition

Any sensible offer will be consideredA fun drive on a nice summer's day but good weather proofing if you get caught in a shower. The excellent hood is coloured tan on the inside to match the interior. Attracts admiring looks wherever you go!
