This vehicle is fitted with a 4 speed manual gearbox with overdrive. Very rare car.
You can really get more use of the powerful and torquey engine.
This vehicle is very original, it has not been restored in the past at all.
I purchased the car 25 years ago as a very original rust free example.
The important bodywork is in very sound rust free condition.
The underside was cleaned back when purchased and painted with a special commercial black paint preserving its original rust free condition.
There is no corrosion to the underside.
The exterior is in very good rust free condition.
There is a very small piece of rust on the bottom of the drivers side rear door.
The interior is totally original.
It is in good condition.
There are no rips, tears or splits on the seats or door cards etc.
All of the chrome work on the car is original.
There cannot be many cars of this age that have not been taken apart by now.
The doors, bonnet and boot lid have never been removed from the car.
This would be a great car to drive and then improve cosmetically if you wished by the owner at their leisure. I have been a Jaguar and Daimler enthusiast for about 40 years.
I have owned all manner of different Jaguar vehicles dating from the 1950`s up to the 1990`s.
The Jaguar / Daimler 420 is a very underrated vehicle.
