The car is in fantastic condition and is certainly one of the best in the UK. It won the "Best Muscle car" award at Tatton park
"Stars and Stripes" Saturday 5th July 2025. Its recently had a full professional paint job with new outer chrome trim imported
from the USA. Its fitted with Mopar steel wheels which have just been banded ( widened ) and restored with new matching
paintwork ( Chrysler aqua marine blue ) brand new tyres fitted 300 miles ago ( Northants wheels & tyres ) BF Goodrich. The
bodywork of the car is exceptional. It was professionally restored a few years ago in the USA and the quality of the work shows.
There is no rust or corrosion anywhere. The chassis has been sealed and is 100% solid. Underneath is as solid as the outer
bodywork. Genuine Mopar dog dish hub caps fitted - period correct. The original vin tag is present showing the car to be an
original V8 Coronet 500 model.
The interior has been fully restored with new carpets and seats from Classic Industries in the USA. A custom fabricated dash
has been fitted with pro comp gauges. Everything works as it should. Fitted with a brand new Demon tweeks heater system
and pipework that works perfect. Fitted with a pioneer 4x100 head unit / sub / amp / vibe pulse 6x9s - excellent sound system.
Brand new rear shelf / floor mats and a custom fabricated centre console in carbon graphite plating. A genuine Nardi classic
steering wheel just fitted ( brand new ) a lot more comfortable and useable compared to the original type.
The engine has recently been tuned by Dave Billadeau Speed and automotive. Lots of new parts fitted = fresh oil and filters.
The engine was built in the USA to a very high spec. This shows as the performance is excellent. Its previously run 12. 8s at
Santa pod and with the new set up i think better times are achievable. Most important its very reliable and will sit at 65 mph
all day on a motorway run. It made 471 bhp at the flwheel on a recent dyno run.
It handles and stops very well for a 60s muscle car. The rear is fitted with Mopar performance leaf springs ( 6 right / 5 left )
Adjustable front suspension and lots of other performance parts to improve drivability. Dana 3. 55 rear end - 8 3/ 4 suregrip
gives limited rear slip and arrow straight acceleration. The geometry / suspension has been set up at Phoenix motorsport
in Accrington ( Oliver ) who is a Lotus specialist.
Ive just purchased a 1968 Dodge Charger hence the sale. Its definitely one of the best in the UK and a true muscle car with the right badges. Its being featured in
Classic American magazine shorty. A true MOPAR classic muscle
car that does not need a thing and show ready.
