2004 Jaguar XJ6 3. 0SE
98395 miles and 5 owners from new. I’ve had a number of XJ’s over the last 10 years and this Is undoubtedly the best one I’ve owned. The car drives without fault, no warning lights, no dodgy gearbox changes, no knocks, no bangs or saggy suspension. On the road you would think it’s done 20, 000 miles, not 98, 000 as it really is that good.
Being the aluminium model, it doesn’t suffer from the previous models rust problems but there are few minor blisters in the aluminium and a couple of of age related marks, however for a 21 year old car it’s in my opinion great condition and polishes up well.
Interior is nice and these cars are extremely comfortable, I’ve never found another car that can match XJ’s in this department. All the controls work perfectly and being the SE spec, it has all the electrical extras, apart from sat nav or a sunroof.
This is a very honest and well presented XJ which I’ll be sorry to see go, however I really want something from the 50’s, 60’s or early 70’s so it’s time to find the Jaguar a new home. Another plus point is that you can have this on classic insurance, I was quoted £250 a year fully comp, doing 3000 miles per annum so very cheap indeed.
