ALFA ROMEO GIULIETTA for Turismo Competizione FIA 1956 The Alfa Romeo Giulietta that we propose, chassis #04247, was born in the summer of 1956 as the first series Giulietta, sold in Padua to a doctor. In 1963 it arrived in Bologna, where it changed number plates for the last time. In 2001 it arrived in the possession of driver Sergio Lazzari, from Rome, who prepared it for the Fiche FiA. At that time the original engine was replaced with a more powerful Giulietta TI engine from a 1960 3rd series. Ti is the expression of the sporty, family car. Strongly desired by Giuseppe Luraghi, president of Alfa Romeo at the time, the Ti was also successfully used in rallies and hill-climb and endurance races. The 'TI' version, an acronym that stands for 'Turismo Internazionale', identified the model equipped with the more powerful engine of the Sprint, the coupé that had humiliated the fearsome Porsche 356s at the '56 Mille Miglia. In essence, the Giulietta TI was the object of desire for much of the Italian population. In 2005, the CSAI passport was issued. With this conformation, it raced until autumn 2014, while the Fia-CSAI passport was renewed in 2008. In the meantime, it was struck off for export and has only raced at track events since then. A car ready for those who want to have fun on the track or in events closed to traffic, it retains its aggressive charm that all Alfa Romeo fans know. Fun car to drive on the track, very gritty and satisfying
