Originally delivered on 22nd June 1966 by Autogerma to Mr. Giuseppe Basile of Bologna, Italy, this rare early-production European model was a 30th birthday gift to himself. Finished in its factory-correct Bahama Yellow, it features the highly desirable five-dial dashboard, complete with an exterior temperature gauge and clock.
Cherished as Mr. Basile’s daily driver, the car accompanied him across the Atlantic when he relocated to the United States in 1983. There, it remained preserved in dry storage for many years.
In 2015, the car changed hands for only the second time, purchased through a U. S. dealer by its current UK-based owner. A comprehensive, fully documented restoration followed—mechanical, electrical, and bodywork—all completed to factory-correct standards.
In a touching tribute to its legacy, the current owner travelled wit the car to Bologna in 2018 to reunite with the Basile family, completing a powerful chapter in its story.
