Description
This is a 1993 BMW 318i Lux (E30) Convertible with 160, 978 miles. I’ve owned it since 2017, and it has been meticulously cared for during my ownership. It’s all-original, including the factory cassette head unit which I reinstalled. Before I purchased it, the car had been kept in a dry garage for 15 years—and has continued to live in a dry garage since. At the time of purchase, it was inspected by a BMW specialist who recommended a new viscous fan and drive belts—both of which were done at around 150k miles, along with full fluid flushes (including gearbox and diff). The suspension has been completely refreshed with a Bilstein B12 Kit, (same spec as original, just higher quality) new wishbones, bushes, and track rod ends. The brake calipers have also been refurbished recently. It’s been serviced every year without fail, most recently in 2024, and always MOT’d at the same trusted garage. The car drives beautifully—smooth, free, and pulls well with a crisp gearbox. MOT is current and valid. I bought the car privately from a gentleman in Bakewell who had owned it for over 10 years. This is a well-loved, honest example. If you’re looking for a genuine, unmodified E30 convertible, this is the one. The car is a joy to drive, especially on sunny days with the roof down—it was even our wedding car in 2021, so it holds some lovely memories. It’s got that timeless 90s BMW feel: light, responsive, and engaging, with a gearbox that feels tight and positive. The original features give it true character, and the recent mechanical refresh means it’s ready to enjoy straight away. It’s the kind of car that makes every journey feel special. Whether you’re an enthusiast or just someone looking to own a piece of classic motoring, this E30 will put a smile on your face every time you turn the key.
