For sale is a 1997 BMW Z3 2. 8 Widebody with manual gear box.
Has undergone a recent mechanical refresh over the past 2 years and is in great condition. Currently on 143k miles and will increase slightly but not much. The private plate is included with the sale.
MoT due June 2026 and passed last time with no advisoraries.
It is a great spec with electric roof, heated seats and air con (still blows ice cold). Roof was replaced back in 2022 so it is in great condition with no rips or tears. Black leather interior is in great condition with one minor wear mark on the driver's seat. Does have what I beleive are factory fitted roll hoops.
Since owning it has gone through a mechanical refresh including:
* BC Racing coil overs
* All new front control arms - track rods, wishbones, inner and outer tie rods
* Front wheel bearings
* Discs and pads all around
* 3 new brake callipers (the 4th didn't need replacing)
* Engine and gear box mounts
* Water pump and thermostat
* Viscous fan coupling and fan blades
* Powerflex ARB bushes
* Uniroyal Rainsport 5 tyres all around with plenty of life left (were new in 2024)
* Custom made stainless steel exhaust
* M50 inlet manifold, which is a popular upgrade for these engines
Has been well looked after with plenty of oil changes, last in January 2025 and gear box and diff oil changed in June 2025. Made sure the roof has been waterproofed often. Has been polished and coated in ceramic wax.
It drives and handles great and sounds amazing with the custom exhaust. Only downside is that it has some stone chips and paint marks - nothing major and still comes up great after a wash, I am just trying to be honest.
It is a great car and I have enjoyed owning it. But with a newborn child this is being used less and less so it has to go for someone else to enjoy.
I do have a set of genuine BMW Style 32 wheels with winter tyres on that a deal can be done on extra.
Car is located in St Asaph North Wales, just off junction 27 of A55.

Any questions please askThis was bought back in 2023 as a summer run around but it was so good and enjoyable I added some nice parts, refreshed the mechanicals and enjoyed it for two years! I bought this being the 2. 8 with a manual gear box so it is enjoyable to drive and with the suspension upgrades it really handles well. Been on a few driving drips around South Wales and it was such great fun with the roof down. With all of the extras, upgrades and new parts it will see many more years on the road - not many have had this level of attention and care. I have had many compliments about this car and always gets attention wherever it goes. With this engine and manual gear box the values of these is only going to rise, I am sad this has to go but it is being used less so it is time for someone else to enjoy. Whoever buys this is getting a well sorted example of a Z3 and will not be dissapointed.
