1997 Pontiac Firebird Coupe.
Manufactured in the ex-Ontario plant, originally sold in New York and later imported to the UK. I am the third owner.
- 3800 Series II engine (3. 8L V6)
- Mystic Teal (Green/ Blue flip) paint
- Original factory-fitted 15" alloy wheels with good tread on all tyres
- 5 speed Borg Warner 'World Class' Manual transmission
- Grey leather interior
- Removable roof panels
Car does not currently have an MOT and is on SORN.
Viewing advised. Tons of work done in my ownership, including but not limited to the following:
- New ignition coils x3
- New engine and transmission mounts
- New clutch
- Rear main seal replaced
- Accessory belt replaced
- New spark plugs
- New HT leads
- New ignition control module
- New oil pressure switch
- New MAF sensor
- New headlamp motor gears
- Good battery
- New battery lead heads
- Transmission fluid replaced
- Lower control arms replaced
- Undersealed chassis
All receipts and paperwork for this. There are multiple spare parts that will come with the car.
All glasswork is perfect. Seals are good for the age of the car.
Interior excellent and clean. Some light wear on the drivers seat bolster.
Bad points:
- No MOT - the car will need a trailer
- Small rust patch on the lower rear quarter fender, passenger side, approx 5cm x 5cm
- Paintwork has seen better days, lacquer is peeling on the quarter flanks, but cleans up well.
- Scratches and marks, mainly on the hood and nosecone.
- The dashtop is cracked. Adhesive covers can be bought to cover this, never bothered me
- Aircon needs a regas (R134a)
- Speedo and Tacho (rev counter) don't read true - a common problem with late-90s GM cars. I used a GPS speedo in any case. Doesn't affect drive-ability
- Rust patch inside the engine bay wall, but not structurally critical
