Description
This is a bike I bought 3 years ago. I chose it because it is lightweight and has an electric starter. It was a bit neglected so I set about bringing it up to standard. I removed the forks, overhauled them and fitted new seals. The swinging arm likewise, I removed the pillion footpegs and had it powder coated. I repainted the tank and mudguards and replaced any rusty bits. I fitted stainless bolts where appropriate. I fitted a new round headlamp which is an improvement and put an LED in the tail lamp. I removed the wheels, fitted new bearings , painted the hubs and fitted new, stainless steel rims with stainless spokes, from Central Wheel Co. Then I fitted a new pair of tyres. I then fitted a small screen a rev meter and small LED running lights. I renewed the petrol tank filler cap and fitted a new clutch cable. I cleaned the clutch and gave the bike an oil change. The bike was then MOTed. I then rode it a couple of times. Despite its size I found that I could not lift it onto its centre stand so I advertised it for sale in 2024. I was sent a cheque for the asking price and delivering to an England address. The cheque then bounced! I did think I might ride it this year but still find it too heavy. Motorcycling has given me up after nearly 70 years. I would like it to go to a good home. It is the ideal commuter or learners bike. I have priced it at less than it owes me but am open to sensible offers. You must see it and decide. This is a most attractive bike and is an instant starter, The motor is quiet and very willing, but if you want a bike which will cruise at 60mph, buy a 250.
