For sale is my 78 R80/ 7. Bike was well looked after by original owner with engine work, clutch replacement, final drive serviced and S/ S bolts used throughout. I have just put tyres and tubes (about 500miles ago). The seat has been recovered along with new grips. Bike rides smooth and shifts well in all gears. Brakes are as expected with a classic bike.
I have some spares and the original sale doc from 78. A well used but great condition tourer. I bought this bike for my dad to join me on an euro trip that didn’t happen. I wanted a clean classic that required no work which I bought.
The Original owner did a lot of touring with it and maintained it to perfection. Some work was done by BMW (unfortunately no documentation on this) but I can believe it. The motor is quiet and pulls well. Doesn’t use oil or smoke. Carbs have been set.
