Jaguar C Type Recreation. Chassis built by Suffolk Sports Cars to the correct “works specifications” Aluminium hand built body by Simon Isles Coachbuilding in British Racing Green. Silver painted wire spoke wheels. 3. 4L engine is a Jaguar XJ6 early series with a big valve injection head that has been ported and gas flowed. The inlet manifold is also ported and matched. The vernier cam timing has been adjusted to give longer valve opening times. The car is fitted with twin SU carbs as were the 1951 works cars. The bottom end has been totally rebuilt with new bearings and gaskets and the engine has only covered 1200 miles since. A dual circuit brake servo was fitted in 2022 which transformed the braking with great efficiency. The 4 speed manual box has an overdrive. Tax exempt. MOT with no advisories to April 2026. Oil service, new plugs and carb balance last month.
