I've used it as a family car alongside our daily driver and it's been amazing, and I feel like a change from BMW after owning 3 in a row for the last 16 years, two E30s and then this for the last 5. 5 years.
The suspension is all new as of 2021, with an alignment by String Theory in Stratford Upon Avon, and has turned it from a bit of a wallowy boat into a far more planted and safer-feeling car at all speeds with no compromise to interior noise or ride comfort. It's got Bilstein and Eibach suspension retaining the rear self-levelling suspension which was all replaced at the same time.
The interior is in great condition for the 22 years it's been in use for. It now has a CD deck and later model radio to work with the fantastic BlueBus bluetooth unit which has enabled access to adjust settings on the car of which my favourite is such as comfort "one touch" indicators (i've settled on 5 flashes).
A recent addition are the two USB-C sockets where the ashtray used to be, and a deep cupholder where the small storage pocket is usually.
In the engine bay, it has had a new alternator in Nov '24, a new PCV, and I've had the horribly-unreliable DISA valve replaced by a refurbished and strengthened unit from Probsten Tech which will likely outlast the car itself.
I replaced both rear door vapour barriers, and changed the door lock actuators at the same time since one of them was failing.
The number plate is fully owned and will come with the car so you can sell that on for about 500 quid if you want.
Vehicle registered: 26/ 06/ 2003FDSH to 2018 then serviced annually with extras done here and there since i've owned it.
