Description
Finished in Tenorite Grey Metallic with Reef Grey Leather interior, this 2008 C220 CDI was supplied new by Mercedes-Benz of Reading on 19th September 2008 as a 50th Birthday present to its sole owner from new and has to date covered only 46750 miles backed up by a full Mercedes-Benz Service History.
The original bill of sale, which is still present with the history file shows that the car was fitted with the following list of optional extras:
Tenorite Grey Metallic Paint
Reef Grey full leather interior with Heated Front Seats
Parktronic - parking sensors front and rear
Electric Slide/ Tilt Glass Sunroof
5 speed automatic transmission
Walnut Wood Trim
Black Velour Overmats
This optional equipment makes the C Class an especially nice car to travel in and fairly unusual as most of these appear to be basic by comparison. Finding one with a sunroof and heated leather interior is certainly a rare find.
The car remains in excellent overall condition, having been maintained exclusively by the supplying Mercedes-Benz main dealer, having last visited them in September 2024 for service and MOT less than 1500 miles ago. The car will undergo a fresh 'A' Service and MOT prior to sale now. Other notable recent work includes new brake discs and pads all round and the fitment of two front Continental 'MO' rated tyres.
The interior is in particularly fantastic condition, with no wear or splitting to the drivers seat and no tarnishing or notable wear to any of the steering wheel or dash buttons as seems common with these W204s. I would be confident in saying the back seats have practically never been used and the passenger seat only seldom used. Body wise, there is no corrosion evident and the car has never suffered any damage. There are a few small marks to the front and rear bumpers and some minor brushing marks from bushes to the left hand side but nothing to write home about. The car would respond well to a paint correction and machine polish. On the road the C Class performs extremely well. It starts on the button and runs perfectly, pulling well through all the gears, tracking perfectly straight and braking well. In my experience, over 45mpg is easily achievable. Thanks to this car being an Elegance model, the ride comfort is excellent unlike more aggressive AMG Line variants, which I would personally avoid.
This is a reluctant sale of a simply excellent car which with a fresh service and MOT will provide many miles of trouble free and great value motoring - It is safe to say that all functions such as the Air Conditioning, Cruise Control, windows, sunroof, etc etc all function perfectly. Any trial or inspection is greatly welcomed, please call me for any more information.
Thanks for reading.
